CSC – CO2
Development of data selection method for atmospheric CO2 measurements in Global Atmosphere Watch (GAW) network.
Atmospheric trace gas measurements are performed at measurement stations over the globe. Measurements at remote sites (high elevation and seaside) in the Global Atmosphere Watch (GAW) network are collected in order to study the global circulation of the atmospheric components as well as for inter-comparison.
In order to do so, systematic data selection (data filtering) is required for extracting the most representative background levels of the atmopsheric components at each location. We aim to develop a statistical strategy to obtain the baseline concentration of atmospheric CO2 at Zugspitze-Schneefernerhaus.
Further researches will focus on application to other measurement stations and validation with remote sensing measurements.
