Earth Observation for Ecosystem Management
Welcome to the Professorship of Earth Observation for Ecosystem Management! Earth Observation describes the indirect collection of information about the physical, chemical and biological systems of our planet, in particular using remote sensing methods. The professorship thereby focusses on the use of new remote sensing technologies for monitoring various ecosystems under climate change and changing land use. Our aim is to work closely with researchers and users to establish remote sensing as a key technology in the fields of ecology, land system science and natural resource management. To achieve this goal, we teach basic and advanced remote sensing in various degree programs at the School of Life Science.
