Developing a forest-based Bioeconomy in Germany and Uruguay, SP1: "Uruguayan tree species potential for mixed forest management and climate change adaptation"
This project is focuses on fostering a sustainable forest-based bioeconomy in Germany and Uruguay. In the face of climate change, the project aims to identify and asses tree species from the southern hemisphere that could enhance the biodiversity and resilience of forest ecosystems in Central Europe. Furthermore, the development of innovative forest management strategies in both Germany and Uruguay, integrating biodiversity and ecosystem services into forest and agroforest systems, is strived for.
