Valuation of Browsing Damage
In forestral producing processes forest regeneration has a key position because regeneration determines stability and flexibility for future forests. By reason of long term producing time and many prospective risks and with background of the discussion about non adapted game inventory the research for consequences by loosing admixed tree species will get important.
Particularly private forest owner doesn’t takes care about game browsing and whose effect. Long range a selection of tree species in mixed regeneration leading to a loss of biodiversity. Destabilisation over biotic and abiotic risks and lack of cushion the impact of timer prices are the consequence.
By using methods of valuation which include future risk the financial losing of tree species shall be transparent. The analysis will result from the forests of Bavaria with classification of varying growth ratios and different tree species combinations. Results of portfolio calculations shall support the ambitions for regulated game inventories and provide a contribution for sustainable planning.
