Our students from the Bachelor's degree program in Landscape Architecture and Landscape Planning at the Technical University of Munich recently gave their final presentation to the stakeholders in their project area. Under the title "Stronger together? Resilient landscapes through participation", three working groups took an in-depth look at participation processes in landscape planning and developed innovative approaches for the diverse challenges of the Miesbacher Oberland.
Based on a classic landscape planning analysis, which was expanded to include an investigation of the relevant stakeholders, it was possible to formulate development perspectives and solutions for the sustainable development of the landscape. The measures and participation strategies developed go far beyond the usual information processes and show how important cooperation with local stakeholders is.
Many thanks go to Ms. Stiller from Regionalentwicklung Oberland for her excellent support and coordination of the final event. We were very pleased with the interest and response from the local audience and will share the development perspectives and solutions we developed with local stakeholders. Our students can be proud of their achievements.
