As part of the “Living Landscapes” event together with the members of the Forest Forest Wood Center, we visit changing destinations with diverse landscapes in Bulgaria. The excursion imparts knowledge of the geology, climate, vegetation, fauna and land use potential of the various landscapes of the respective excursion destination and their historical development. Bulgarian scientists provide information about locations, population history, situation and development in different areas, growth-limiting factors of tree species and conflicts between land use forms and nature conservation.
