Thank you very much for attending the LUIGI Workshop on “Linking Urban and Rural Green Infrastructure - Green Infrastructure that Connects” on 8th and 9th of September 2021. Your active participation and contributions from your regions helped us to attain one of the main objectives of our project: exchange on best practice examples and outline challenges and solutions in GI management and governance.
The decline of certain elements of Green Infrastructure (GI) throughout the alpine region demonstrate the need for rethinking their governance. Therefore, the University of Applied Sciences Weihenstephan-Triesdorf (HSWT) in cooperation with the Technical University of Munich (TUM) and Grenoble École de Management (GEM) organized the Workshop “Green Infrastructure that Connects” in the frame of the LUIGI project. The two-days (8th-9th September 2021) workshop provided a platform for stakeholders from research, associations, farming practice, enterprises and nature conservation across the Alpine region to learn more about LUIGI project results and exchange on GI management and governance.
