Rosemary Olang, an ecologist from Kenya, holds a Bachelor’s degree in Wildlife Management from the University of Eldoret, Kenya, and a Master’s degree in Environmental Health from the University of Siena, Italy. Her research passion lies at the intersection of biodiversity conservation and sustainable land management. In October 2024, Rosemary joined the LSYS Group as a PhD researcher, supported by a DAAD Research Grant scholarship. Her work focuses on restoring savannah grasslands in Kenya through sustainable cattle grazing management. Rosemary’s research aims to develop climate-smart strategies that protect grassland biodiversity while enhancing human well-being, addressing pressing challenges such as drought and flooding.
